In a nutshell, we will look at the different designations of origin and indications on the wine label, what they mean and what they say about the wine.
We continue with an insight into different cultivation methods and vinification styles to understand how they influence wine quality and what sensory aspects can be expected.
A first general overview of wine countries gives you a rough classification. Next, we go into the most important wine-growing regions with their best-known wines and taste exemplary representatives.
The more defined the origin, the better for the wine quality and the question of the vintage. What is the significance of the vintage and how do I get the decisive information?
In an excursus on sparkling wine, we look at the differences in production and their impact on quality and price.
Fortified wines, such as port, also enjoy great popularity. In this seminar we will deal with handling and serving possibilities.
Excellent wine quality has storage potential, but this can only develop under the right conditions. Therefore, we will deal with conditions and possibilities.
The right choice of glass tickles the finest and most fragile aromatic nuances out of a good wine. So when does it make sense to look at the appropriate choice of wine glass? To illustrate this, we will taste the same quality of wine with you from different glasses.
Finally, we introduce you to the supreme discipline of "blind tasting" - this is the most objective way to approach a wine quality.
