On the first day, in the "Basic" level, you will learn a lot about the production of wine, wine sensory analysis and the system used by professionals to evaluate a wine.
Modified wines, water solutions and representative wines are available for tasting and training.

If it is not raining, we will shorten the lunch break and take you to "our" vineyards. In the Ahrweiler Rosental, you will learn a lot about the soil, grape varieties and the work of the winegrower in the vineyard.

On the second day, we will talk about European and German wine law. Although the topic sounds very theoretical, we will use various wines to show how the individual qualities are reflected in the laws and statutes. Of course, you will be informed about the most important German grape varieties, about the soil and climate in Germany and about the 13 German wine-growing regions.

A short multiple choice test rounds off the module. By passing this test, you qualify for the wine connoisseur certificate. Those who do not wish to take a test will receive a confirmation of participation.
