How is sake served properly? What factors influence the taste? What are the main styles and types? Learn this and much more in our WSET® Level 1 Award in Sake. The seminar is a beginner-level introduction to the world of sake - ideal for people looking for a career in the industry or even passionate sake enthusiasts. On completion of the WSET® Level 1 Award in Sake, you will be able to list the main categories of sake, state their defining characteristics and apply the key principles of storage and service associated with sake.

The WSET Level 1 Award in Sake examination consists of a questionnaire with 30 multiple-choice questions that must be answered within 45 minutes without any additional aids. To pass, at least 70 per cent of all questions must be answered correctly. The examination takes place directly after the course. Experience shows that the results are sent after about four weeks

The WSET Level 1 Award in Sake or equivalent level of experience is recommended as the basis for the WSET Level 3 Award in Sake.

Participants will receive the certificate for the internationally recognised WSET® Level 1 Award in Sake and a lapel pin on successful completion.
