On 24.12.21 at 2 p.m. we will start the Christmas season with a sparkling start. Eckhard Höbel will be presenting us with sparkling wines from his Bürgermeister Adam Schmitt winery in Rheinhessen to match the festive occasion.
At the sparkling wine tasting, you will have the chance to taste various excellent sparkling wines before New Year's Eve and decide on your favourite sparkling wine for New Year's Eve. All sparkling wines can also be ordered online in our wine shop.
Winery Mayor Adam Schmitt
The winery Bürgermeister Adam Schmitt is located in Mommenheim, Rheinhessen. What makes this winery so special is the owner Eckhard Höbel's love of experimentation: The vineyards belonging to the winery are spread over various municipalities and even growing regions.
For example, the winemaker cultivates the steepest vineyard in the Rauenthaler Rothenberg in the Rheingau. Due to the old vines and the poor soil, a special wine is produced. Based on the guidelines of the Ecovin winegrowing association, all wines of the winery are produced ecologically. Furthermore, Eckhard Höbel's wines have also been vegan products since 2014.
