The Iphöfer historical vineyard brings the most important eras in Franconian viticulture from the late Middle Ages to the 1960s back to life in an impressive way
In Iphofen's historical vineyard, the most important epochs of Franconian viticulture from the late Middle Ages to the 1960s are brought to life. The Bauseweins cultivate the vineyard with other Iphofen winegrowers and lead tours to these three vineyard terraces on Julius Echter Berg every first Saturday of the month. They explore the old wine-growing methods and the diverse habitats that have been created for animals and plants.
Start
Meeting point 1: Departure is at 13:30 at our Altstadthotel, from there we walk to the historical vineyard (duration 50 minutes).
Meeting point 2: The tour starts at 14:20 at the car park in front of the historical vineyard.
Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view and two wines. Good footwear is recommended.
Destination
Walk back to Iphofen from 15:30. Our hike ends at around 4.30 pm back at our Altstadthotel, where you are welcome to take part in our open organic wine tasting.

Are you interested in our organic wines? We invite you to taste them from 16:30-17:30.

Guided tour including 2 wines and mineral water per person € 15.00 / children up to 16 years free
