In keeping with the cooler temperatures, the St. Quirinus organic winery really heats us up;)
Last year they were joined by the other two Tegernsee winegrowers, but this time the South Tyroleans are coming alone: they can afford to do so, as the winery's large portfolio really does cover pretty much every taste and therefore needs no backing from its colleagues.
The St. Quirinus winery, run by Robert and Michael Sinn, is one of the few wineries in South Tyrol that is certified organic and lives by it. In all aspects of life! From their choice of grape varieties to the architecture of their winery and cellar, everything is totally well thought out and based on the omnipresent concept of sustainability. The difference is that the Sinn family doesn't just produce hot air, but very "hot" wines:)
With their focus on PIWI's, they are also totally up-to-date and thus set themselves apart from classic South Tyrolean viticulture. And anything that dances out of line automatically dances its way into our wine hearts.
We are fans, you are too and of course we have to celebrate this together.
So come along, enjoy a different kind of South Tyrol and chat to winemaker Michael Sinn himself!
