6. WineSpring at Schillerplatz
For the 6th time, the Mainzer WeinFrühling will open on 23 April at Schillerplatz and invites connoisseurs and connoisseurs of the juice of the vine to linger.
The wine village stretches from the Schiller Monument to the Fastnachtsbrunnen.
In keeping with the spirit of Mainz as the wine capital, the square features wines from Rheinhessen and other Rhineland-Palatinate wine regions, including organic winegrowers and vegan wineries. Diversity is therefore guaranteed.
But the culinary delights will not be neglected either.
In addition to the gastronomy around Schillerplatz, there will be freshly grilled steak and bratwurst, various tapas, the Mainz classic, Fleischwurst and Weck, burgers and sweet crêpes variations.
Common to all the wine stands is the high standard of quality, which is reflected in gold and silver medals at international tastings.
The event starts on Thursday, 23.04.2020, at 6 p.m., with an enjoyable introduction to the weekend.
Friday evening is all about music. From 6.00 p.m., Mr. GML-Music will play live at the after-work party. Current songs, but also classics from rock and pop, soul and jazz will inspire again this year.
On Sunday, music lovers can look forward to a musical morning pint under the motto "Jazz & Wine" from 1.00 pm. With Jammin'five, 5 old jazz veterans will be playing, who have come together after international performances in Mainz. A musical treat for friends of Dixieland and Swing.
