For the continuation of "Vinokino," we are showing THE wine movie: "Sideways" by Alexander Payne, starring Paul Giamatti and Thomas Hayden Church in the lead roles. The Oscar-winning film from 2004 has had a lasting impact on the wine world. In particular, the disdain that Paul Giamatti's character showed towards Merlot has put Merlot sales worldwide in a predicament.
The film Sideways (2004) is about two friends who take a trip through California's wine country to spend a week before one of their weddings (Jack). Miles, a depressed, divorced writer and wine lover, accompanies Jack, a former actor, on this journey, which is intended as a kind of bachelor party.\r\n\r\nThe film is one of the most famous wine movies in the world and must not be missed in our series.\r\n\r\nWe will have accompanying wines (Pinot Noir and Merlot, of course) ready for you.\r\n\r\nLet's make Monday a special day and celebrate the good life together.\r\n\r\nThe film starts right on time at 8:15 PM. Those who buy a ticket in advance pay €5. Last-minute attendees pay €9.\r\n\r\nAnyone who would like to eat something before the film can book a menu between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM.
